Panama is located in the center of our continent. We have a well-connected international airport (Tocumen International Airport, PTY) that is serviced by most main international airlines.

How to get to Boquete
Once you are at the Airport, you have the choice of renting a car or taking a taxi cab (costs around $30) to get to the center of Panama City. There you have plenty of options if you desire to stay in the city for a while. As a recommendation, if you decide to stay for a while, do not forget to see the Panama Canal, the Old Quarter, and The Ruins of Colonial Panama.

Then, you need to go to David, capital of the province of Chiriqui. You do so by either going to the Albrook National Terminal and take a Panama-David bus, or taking a flight at the Marcos A. Gelabert Airport in the same route. The bus will cost you between $21 and $23 depending on the schedule and company offering the service and the trip will last 6-7 hours. The air trip will cost you some $220 and the trip lasts some 45 minutes.

Once in David, you can rent a car (prices vary), take a bus at the David Terminal ($1.75) or take a taxi cab to Boquete ($30 per person). Either way it is a 40 minute-1 hour ride.
